Versatile sun shade kit which extends the shaded area of the bimini. Allows airflow and gently filters the sun's rays to provide a comfortable shaded area over the cockpit of your boat.
Takes only a few minutes to install and is easily folded away for storage. Can be used at anchor or motoring up to 20 knots.
PVC Vinyl Mesh (350 gsm) fabric provides UV protection and 45% - 65% shade factor. Excellent tear & abrasion resistance.
Features:
- 1.3m to 2.0m aluminium telescopic poles with tapered collar ends to fit securely within rod holder mounts.
- Polyester webbing straps with adjustment brackets.
- Webbing-reinforced surround edges and attachment loops to connect to 1" bimini poles.
Also available in black and grey.
Installation:
- Lay the wider end of the canopy extension over the back edge of the bimini.
- Attach each of the two canopy straps to a bimini support pole on each side of the boat. These straps hold the leading edge of the bimini extension. Leave loose for now.
- Insert each of the two telescopic poles supplied into a rod holder at each back corner of your boat.
- Extend the telescopic tubes to give the desired height.
- Use the supplied webbing straps to anchor the telescopic poles into place by tying around a suitable fitting such as a cleat.
- Slide one of the nylon knuckles onto the top of each support pole and secure around 10cm from the top.
- Slide bimini extension webbing loops over the support poles to rest on the knuckles.
- Slide the other nylon knuckles at the top of the extension poles to hold the back of the canopy extension in place.
- Tension the canopy by tightening the front straps.
