NOTE:
3 Strand and 8 Strand rope will stiffen over time when used in saltwater.
For pre-installation and seasonal maintenance, the manufacturer recommends soaking the rope in a bucket of fresh water and fabric softener overnight.
This will help condition new rope for use in a gypsy/winch.
It will help clean older rope of salt and debris, increasing longevity and minimising hardening.
